Coolest app ever!

There have been a number of great apps some more useful then others, however some are more fun the others. Today I may have found the coolest app ever. It’s called ARSsoccer. It’s free for the weekend, and may stay free if we’re really lucky.
All it is, is an augmented reality application that allows you to play soccer with a virtual soccer ball in real time.
You can download it now for free, or of your reading this at a later time purchase it for a dollar.
Have fun play virtual soccer!

Tips and tricks:
1. Try playing sitting down and play with you fingers.
2. Don’t move the iPhone’s screen around to much.
3. Do get insanely high scores find a wall with two different colors, and set your iPhone up for a awesome match.

Hello awesome readers!
Today I created a page just for geeks. If you click this link it will take you to the page.
The sole purpose of this page is for geeks to… well… geek out. It’s going to have many new, and improved features that you should like.
This will include popular games, sale prices on software and apps, coupons (if I can make some deals). And most important of all a new forum, and chat room for you to geek out, and complain in.

It’s still in early, early development so give me sometime to make changes before you start .

Hitachi’s new gesture-based input system.

Today Hitachi showed their brand new gesture-based interface. All it is an infrared camera/Sonar camera that tracks you every move.
When you want to zoom in you move your hand closer to the screen. The same is to be said about zooming out, and swiping left and right.
Hitachi believes that this type of technology will be integrated into everything ranging from TVs to Medical Applications (such as filling out forums with contracting germs). They say it might be in these products by the middle of 2011.

Hopefully this wouldn’t mean the start a Minority Report-like world, with changing of eyes, and creepy spider bugs.

Google now completely blocked in China.

Google has been batting China for almost 6 months now, and it now has finally come to a conclusion: Google being completely blocked as a search engine.

Some of their apps like Google Docs are still available, however those might not last very long either. It appears that China Great Firewall has won again. If you live in China… My advise to you is try Bing. It’s almost as good, and has pretty pictures.

Hopefully this will be resolved, and Google will be let back into China, but if they don’t then… sorry.

Parrot A.R. Drone Available Now!

Don’t get overly exited it’s only pre-orders right now. The Drone itself will ship on September 3rd, and should come flying through your window about a week after that. You can pick your’s up for $299 right now.

They A.R Drone by Parrot is a semi-autonomous flying quadricopter… What that means is it has four rotors, and can avoid obstacles by itself. The coolest thing is that it has two cameras on it that broadcast to your iPhone. Where you can control it, and see everything that’s going on. You can also have virtual battles with various targets.

You will also be able to buy this at Brookstone for the same price on the date. They also will have a trial version available at the store until October 31st.

Go on out and buy you drone.

Youtube time limit has been raised to 15 mintes

YouTube has always had strict rules about how long your videos can be (10 minutes max). The only way you could around this was to become a pro member, however today they announced that they are raising the limit to 15 minutes. It’s not that long but for some people that makes things a whole lot easier.

You can now watch an entire episode of MacGyver a four short clicks. Where before it would have taken 6-7 clicks (and those were the long type of click). Hopefully they increase to 30 minutes next time.

UK makes hacking a DS harder.

Hacking the Nintendo DS in the UK just got way harder, or if you’re not looking to be fined: impossible!
Joystiq just reported that Nintendo has seized over 100,000 R4 devices in the UK since 2009.
This doesn’t mean that it’s impossible to hack the DS it just means it’s a lot harder.
The US still allows you to hack it with the R4, however this also could become illegal. So if you ever had the desire to watch movies on you DSi this is your chance to get a R4.
The only other way you could possibly get around this is to make a bootable SD card for the DS, however that’s a long shot as I don’t think that’s possible.
The only other option is to move to the US.
I feel very sorry for the Brits, but they’ve always been very respectful of companies’ rights. Unlike the US.
In conclusion it all boils down to getting an Android or iPhone, and either rooting, or jailbreaking one of them, because it’s now legal (In the US)!

iOS 4.1 beta 2 released!

iOS 4.1 has nothing really new, except Game Center, and some minor bug fixes including proximity errors.
It should be coming out later this month.
I probably wouldn’t be installing it as I only have one iPhone, and it’s not for testing.
However this is a big release because it should be the one that enables jailbreaking.

Mac Pros and iMacs updated.

Apple has been working on their iMac line for at least 15 years. Today they introduced a brand new updated model. Which includes wither they core i3, i5, or i7 processors along with a new graphics card. The prices for each are as follows: $1,199 for the entry model which has a 21.5″ display and a 3.06Ghz core i3 processor, $1,499 for the next model with a 21.5″ display, and a 3.2Ghz core i3 processor, then comes the 27″, 3.2Ghz Core i3 for a meager $1,699, saving the most expensive for last: the 27″ quad-core i5 2.8Ghz iMac with a 1TB HDD (with an option for a 1TB SSD). There also is an option for a 2.93Ghz core i7, and an option for 16GB of RAM. The last option that I’am going to mention is the Magic Trackpad which sells at a retail price of $69.
The other major update was with their awesome Mac Pro (which has made it onto TV with a awesome seen from Chuck).
The updates here include a 12 core processor, and a new price tag of $4,999, they also have gained to graphics cards which have 1GB of dedicated graphics RAM.
